Stratagraph Energy Group Welcomes Clay Hargett As The Newest Business Development Manager

LAFAYETTE, La. August 4, 2025 – Stratagraph Energy Group is proud to welcome Clay Hargett to the team as Business Development Manager. Clay brings with him over two decades of experience in both energy and industrial markets, with a career that bridges technical geoscience expertise and proven business development leadership.
Clay’s career spans a unique blend of upstream oil and gas geology and executive-level sales strategy. He has led multimillion-dollar B2B sales operations, spearheaded product development and vendor relations, and co-founded and scaled businesses in competitive markets. At Stratagraph, Clay will focus on strengthening client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting strategic growth across service lines.
“Clay’s background gives him a deep understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of our industry,” said William Hagan, CEO of Stratagraph Energy Group. “His dual experience in geoscience and business makes him a perfect fit for our team and our clients.”
Clay began his career in the oil and gas sector, working as a geologist with leading operators in basins across the U.S., including the Williston Basin. He also worked as a senior geoscience analyst in the Gulf of Mexico, and Eagle Ford. His roles have included Development Geologist, Production Technologist, and Senior Geoscience Analyst. He later transitioned into business ownership and sales leadership roles, where he successfully built and led glass fabrication businesses before returning to his energy roots through Stratagraph.
He holds a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Centenary College of Louisiana. Clay is based in Shreveport, Louisiana, and will play a key role in expanding Stratagraph’s market presence across North America.
